Writer's Workshop - Virgin Vlog

Ok, so you are going to have to pardon me on my first vlog. It is way more difficult to be eloquent when ranting/speaking than when ranting/writing.

Oh, and next time I am totally brushing my hair and wearing mascara.

LOL ... ok, sitting in your bathtub was cute. I can totally understand though because every Mom will do ANYTHING to keep their sleeping child ASLEEP!

You looked beautiful!

I wish I had advice to help, but kids will be kids. I have heard boys are into "more" than little girls. My daughter never got into things. (Sorry.)

I pray you'll have the strength to keep up with this little ball of energy.

Come over to visit me sometime.

Great job!
Beth

So cute! I love the sitting in the bathtub! I've been there and am still there, sorry, I don't think it gets better for a while. Jenna is 2.5 and I hear the 3's are even worse than the 2's! Now get a glass of wine and put water and bubbles in that tub!

You're so cute Rachel! I miss you. We're moving this weekend, but once we get settled you need to come visit my shoebox. =)

And yes, 2's suck, 3's are worse. 4's though...I adore 4's!

Your Vlog was so cute! And don't think any of us other moms are doing a whole lot better. I have a 5 month old and already I have days where I find myself chanting the mantra "I will survive this day". And I have a "GOOD BABY"!! I worry that baby number two (whenever that will be) is going to be baby from HELL and I am going to miss the "easy" days of one. Keep your head high and the bottom of your wine glass even higher and you will make it, just like we all will! :)

I don't have any advice but I so know your pain. Trust me, I know it well. Because my kids have been kicking my but lately.

Oh and this is totally a boy thing! Little girls not that active. But they have their own issues.

no advice here, just wanted to send you hugs. hoping that the early onset of the terrible twos comes with an early end!

Ok...my #2 is also 16mo right now..my oldest is 3 ... and I am RIGHT where you are with Lilli (#2)! My first responded very well to the whole "redirection" theory... but this one is HELL ON WHEELS! Just like you described Noah... every time I turn around she is doing something dangerous or eating dog food...or feeding HER food to the dogs... or running towards the street... *sigh*

And now the two of them get into it on a regular basis.

I am soooo envious of your tub. It is beautiful...and big... and my pregnant self would love to climb in there and cry :) I have a tiny tub. Booo.

Hang in there. That is the ONLY advice that I have! (Oh..and good decision to wait a little bit. I bet you'll feel different even in 6 months!)

Awwww, fill that tub with bubbles and enjoy a good soak.

You sound like a good mom. Mom's need to say NO. Does he know why you're saying no?

Rachel, this "vlogging" things is a little wierd. I dont think I like it. Especially in a bath tub.. kinda creepy.
But, you are a great mom and you are being to hard on yourself. I was terrible too, just ask mom..we have character :) I love you! Put Noah on time outs..Conner hhaaatttes them and knows exactly what they are now. It seems to work for Jeffs mom!

I came over from Tim's to watch your vlog. You did great!

Bless your heart! I know all about boys...Hubs and I have two. They are almost grown now, so I'm here to encourage you and let you know that you WILL survive the toddler years! LOL

In the meantime, since Noah can unlock doors, do what we did to keep our kids inside. My husband installed a door lock at the TOP of each exit in our house. If Noah can't reach it, he can't unlock it!

Hang in there...this, too, shall pass!

Hop over to visit me when you get a chance, and bring some wine! ;o)Check out my most recent video to see what hubby gave me for an early Mother's Day gift...I talk about it halfway through the video.

Hope your Mother's Day is a restful one! LOL

Love the Vlog in your bathtub!!!! Btw, I have three children, 5,3 & 2 and I have learned that terrible 2's really begins when they start walking and last till about 2 1/2 to 3 years of age!!!

You'll get though it!! Thats why I love mommy bloggers because we are all in this together!! Keep up the vlogs!!!

Oh my goodness. YES! We are SO going through the same thing right now. I make Pat take Kainoa on walks now while I make dinner because it's seriously impossible to do. If Kainoa's not climbing up my leg he's getting into EVERYTHING and I simply can't get anything done while that child is in motion.

That being said..ummmm...you are stinking ADORABLE!

dancing on the table IS fun mama ;) listen, you'll be out of this before you figure out HOW to be out it. I am not kidding.

Active, energetic, creative, exuberant, experimental, spirited, not taking no for an answer? All of these things make a FABULOUS adult, but, it can be gut wrenching and overwhelming as a toddler eh? I get it. I really get it.

All I can say about it is that it is a season. It will get better. You keep on with the bubble baths and wine (and put him in a moms day out program a couple of times a week for your day time sanity). Join a moms group of first time moms so that you can both congratulate and commiserate together.

btw, Saylor's name is officially "Saylor, No".
