During my self-imposed imprisonment, I did however manage to Tivo "The Butterfly Effect." Having no desire to shock the poor teens working at Blockbuster, I just went with entertainment that didn't require leaving the house. As my husband and I watched it (in baby-sleeping shifts) I remember thinking it was just ok. Something to think about, but nothing really special. What was special was what followed....
The next day, I woke up with this note:
"Thinking about the millions of different paths life can take makes me remember just how lucky I am - for somehow our little paths crossed and have been intertwined ever since. I am completely and literally happy right where I am - with you, our little boy, the kitties, and our whole lives ahead of us. Love, Bri"
Somehow, despite my post-preggo grumpiness and questionable cleanliness, my husband wrote me a love note. Had we never watched the movie, I would have missed out on this.
Who needs "Sex in the City" anyway? I may not own a pair of Manolo's or be fabulously fashionable, but I found a sweet guy who loves me. Besides, Cosmos always give me a raging hangover anyway....

thanks for stopping by my blog today!
i know how you feel... i STILL haven't seen mamma mia...b/c of babysitting issues. :(
but it's all worth it, right? cheers!
So sweet!!! What a perfect note. Oh, and personally, I don't think you're missing out on too much with the Sex and the City movie... it was good, but not my favorite. The sacrifices we make for the kiddo... it's the best thing we could ever do!! :)
That is sooo sweet! Maybe I can get Jarrod to Netflix SATC (if it's out) and we can watch it on a girl night! We can also drink fruit punch out of Martini Glasses and pretend we are having cosmos. LOL
That's so sweet. If it makes you feel any better, my baby's two now and I still haven't managed to see Sex and the City yet.
Your man~ He's a keeper!
As for the Gunn name. 7 brothers immigrated from Scotland in the 1700's and settled in the South. We haven't met a Gunn yet that can't trace their lineage to these brothers. (Exceptions are the African Americans who unfortunately their relatives were once slaves.)
If you see pics of my husband with his handsome face and shocking white hair (at 45) you would say, "Yep, they're definitely related"~cousins several times removed." Thanks for asking.
Good luck!
