Wordful Wednesday - I Plan My Escape

Hey, check me out Mommy, I can totally reach the door lock now. I know you took lots of care growing me all those 9 months ....and I know you like to chase around and snuggle me (yuck) and kiss me (blech) ....but hey, I am an independent guy now. I have things to do and people to meet. The whole world is waiting for me outside this door! It's like that book you read to me,"Oh the places I will go!!!!"

Hey wait....why are wearing a sad face Mommy? Don't cry Mommy....

Ok, Ok, I won't leave you yet Mommy. I can't reach the door handle anyways.

Aww! Looks like it's time for someone to invest in one of those chain or flip locks!

But look at that reach. Impressive. I'm glad he decided to stick with you for awhile longer. :)

my sofie is the same age...and wow, what these kiddos can get into. you'd think by #4 i'd remember, but for some reason, i always think they are more innocent each time. he's such a sweet little guy...and buy door alarms for the outside doors. ha!

When will those kids learn to stop growing? My 12 year old was talking yesterday about how she'll be driving soon, and I nearly fainted.

Perfect picture for wordful Wednesday.

Aww! So cute but a little sad too. They grow so quickly. Can't we just freeze time for a little while? Looks like you have an independent one like I do.

that is a milestone. My little one figured out how to open (the long handle doors) at age one, and nothing has been the same since.

My 13-year-old left our front door unlocked once, and Boddhi let himself out and fell down the stairs. We have to be very careful to ck the locks now.

This Wordful Wednesday group has a lot of posts this week on the stages of growing up. Talking, walking, running, and I love yours. You can really see change when they can reach the door knob!
