For the last 7 months I have been a breastfeeding mama. While they were frequently hard, leaky, and sore, at least they were there and noticeable. Before this, I had been an "A" team member since age 12, and to actually go out and by a "C" bra was cause for some definite celebration. Ok, so most of them were nursing bras, but hey, I will take it.
Last month, Noah decided he just wasn't that into breastfeeding anymore. I checked to make sure it wasn't "a strike." Nope, for 3 solid weeks he wanted a bottle and a bottle with formula. I would attempt latch, he would shove his two chubby arms against my chest and throw his head back. Considering that formula smells like sour toes, I was a little hurt by this. I was also sad that we were missing out on our "lovey, cuddle" time.
I have had a few weeks to get over it. But now, here is the reality that it's really over, staring me in the face yet again. With my milk dried up, I am pitching for the A team was again...and appearantly my team likes stripes....

lol, you made my day.
I know how you feel. I was the same way. I actually have a picture of me 5 months into breastfeeding and I can't believe my girls were that big. After seven months, I dried out and didn't want to force myself.
Now? I have to wear something with underwire. They heading down south.
Thanks for that website girl! Love it! I am going to get the shirt, definitely.

Funny! And I feel your pain....I'm with Summer, "who needs 'em anyway?"
Sad but so true! Once I stopped nursing, I was a little sad because my perky girls were no longer so perky. : )
Love it, SITSa - the only thing that makes me feel better is knowing that at least the smaller cup size makes me look smaller.
Go A team!
As a pre-baby "barely A" I can sooooo relate. On the positive side, being smaller means there isn't as much there to droop!
Happy SITS day!
my first never took to breast feeding. the 2nd i had to go back to work 5 wks after giving birth cos we needed the insurance so i let myself dry up. too much effort to pump & all that. 3rd one, i said, 'screw it. i am only bottle feeding this time.' lol thanks to them i went from a very small b cup to a full c almost d. i'm sure if i was able to breast feed all it would have been a different story. now i'm 42, and they've gone south. i just tuck em into my waistband lol just kidding :)
p.s. congrats on being chosen for SITS :)
I feel ya about being on the A Team. When my first weaned I was so sad to see what the once lovely girls had become. Soon after I was pregnant again, and they came back! Now my youngest is almost 1 (next week!) wanting to wean, and I am dreading going back to the super duper padded bras. Why must mother nature be so cruel??? Love your blog!
HA! That was an awesome post! stay strong mamacita...us A-Team members got your back!
That was the only place I ever got stretch marks since mine also went from an A to a C (I didn't breastfeed the first two though).
I nursed my last child til she was one. I wanted to keep nursing her as she loved it and so did I. but my husband was upset because she never wanted to be apart from me. As soon as I stopped nursing her, she started going to him. lol
After 5 kids, I now have to roll them up and tuck them in..They look like a tennis ball in a tube sock!
Mommy Lesson#1 -ALWAYS wear a bra, even when you are sleeping!
Stopping by from SITS...hilarious stuff!
I am a C teamer, so imagine your stretch marks times 2 per square inch... Also,I have 2 kids, so you'd think that the "girls" would just stretch and grow in the same spots, right? No. I got a whole new set of stretch marks with the 2nd child.
Congrats on being the featured blogger!
*Sigh*
